Self Contained Compactors

Use these products for weekly volumes of more than 100 cubic yards of loose wet or dry/ general waste materials. All models have a packer head permanently attached to the container. Self Contained Compactors consist of compactor and a container combined into a single leak proof, efficient unit that has a built in sump for liquids retention. Your Self-Contained can be fitted with various configurations for loading such as cart dumper systems, doghouses, security chutes and hoppers.

A Stationary Compactor is used for compacting dry waste materials. The compactor remains on site and the container is hauled off to a landfill etc.

Standard Commercial Compactor (2yd)

Use these products for weekly volumes of more than 100 cubic yards of non-compacted dry waste materials. Select model based on a “feed (clear top) opening” that will accommodate the largest items being processed.

Heavy Duty / Industrial Compactor (2yd, 3yd, 4yd, 5yd, & 6yd)

These models are particularly suited for weekly volumes of 500 cubic yards or more of industrial plant solid waste or recyclable materials or continuous feed applications. High volume waste generators and companies with large quantities of heavy wood crates, skids and drums require heavy duty compaction systems or possibly Pre-crusher Compactors.

Available options include bolt-on side and end load hoppers, drive-on ramps, side rails, gates with interlocks, contractor override stations, and other equipment to meet specific application needs.

Pre-Crusher Compactors

  • IDEAL USES: Eliminating ‘light loads’ of large bulky items for warehouses, manufacturing plants, and freight companies, etc.
  • Crushes & destroys large bulky items thus removing air pockets prior to compacting
  • Easy customization and fabrication to meet specific loading application requirements

Pre-crushers reduce heavy shipping crates and barrels to a fraction of their original bulk. Each stroke of the powerful ram crushes disposed material against a tough solid steel bulkhead at the end of the charging chamber. This machine has a heavy duty guillotine that is used by the ram as a wall to compact against before cycling again into the container. The bulkhead automatically lifts and the crushed material is forced into the receiving container.

The pre-crusher system is designed to be an integral part of the stationary compactor, not an add-on or after thought. Ideal for pallet, drum crushing and product destruction, and to achieve maximum density. These machines are built to take the abuses of high compaction forces.

Extremely high reduction ratios are achieved because air pockets in the material are eliminated – offering substantial savings in hauling costs. Loads are easily emptied out of the receiving container because the material has lost much of its “memory.”

One of the many typical applications of the Pre-crusher includes crushing 55 gallon drums. This industrial compactor reduces these drums to a fraction of their original length without lifting or handling the crushed drums! Each Pre-crusher features a programmable controller to re-set to your changing needs. A variety of containers are also available.

Vertical Compactors (VIP)

  • SIZES: 2yd3 to 8yd3, Front or Read Load
  • IDEAL USES: Restaurants, retail centers, hospitals, nursing homes, schools, etc.
  • Extremely simple to load and operate, great for multiple tenant usage and access
  • Perfect for limited space applications where compaction is needed to reduce volume

The Vertical Compactor was developed as the alternative to loose waste hauling for Front-end Load and/or Rear-end Load service trucks. These compactors require the same “footprint” space as a standard dumpster yet maintain the great 4-to-1 compaction ratio found with Roll-off compactor equipment.

Instead of wind blown containers, the Vertical Compactor controls housekeeping, deters short dumpers and vermin while reducing pilferage and refuse costs.

Advanced Waste Equipment carries several models of vertical compactors ideal for applications where space for a compaction system is limited, the volume of wet waste does not justify a larger system, or a roll-off collection service is not available.

Apartment/High Rise Compactors

  • SIZES: 2yd3 & 3yd3 Front or Rear Load
  • IDEAL USES: High-rise facilities such as apartments, hotels, hospitals, or office buildings
  • Designed specifically with chute feed collection systems in mind
  • Automated operation designed to reduce and/or eliminate trash chute “back-up”

These low-cost systems are designed for use with small containers (2 & 3 yard) and for installation in basements of high-rise buildings or other facilities with low waste volumes of 150 cubic yards (loose) or less. When designed and fabricated with hand-feed hoppers, chute systems, or through-the-wall installations the apartment style compactor conveniently facilitates direct loading by residents or tenants without the need for training.

Extruder Compactor with Chute Fed Waste

The RJ-30 features a specially designed curved tube that discharges a densely compacted log of refuse into any size and type of receiving container. Eighteen to twenty-four inch logs of refuse are gravity fed into the container. Because of the exclusive “S” shaped tube, the RJ-30 achieves higher compaction ratios than any other compactor available!
